It is a good comprehensive list and may online booksellers and used book sellers assess some of the unseen costs associated with the FBA program.

This is a great story about how one bookseller, Alex Green of Back Pages Books, is challenging the traditional notion that “… a book needs a recommendation from Oprah Winfrey and a display at Barnes & Noble to be successful.”

Joe Wikert raises an interesting point in his blog post titled: “Independent Booksellers Unite!”.
He proposes a central “shopping cart” site that lists the inventory and provides information about the independent booksellers around the world in order to compete with large chains. Most notably is Amazon.com - publishers and authors see listing their wares on Amazon as a milestone - why couldn’t independent booksellers pool their traffic, help each other out, and potentially topple Amazon?
He goes into more detail regarding his idea and I would encourage everyone to review it - it is definitely a worthy project that could benefit us all!
