In welcome news for Abebooks sellers, the site has announced the successful integration of the Abebooks and Iberlibro inventories. The sites will retain separate identities and branding. This is great, although long awaited, news for the online selling community. Abebooks purchased the Spanish site back in the last quarter of 2004 and I cannot overstate (in hindsight) how brilliant it was to buy this site. Full press release.

After posting the 2006 Winners and Losers in online bookselling, a handful of readers sent me their concerns about having Abebooks as a “Winner.” It should also be known that each was asked to flesh out (up to 200 words) their concerns, to be posted here, and none chose to do so.
